The second most important thing according to me are the technicalities. An engineer should be strong in his field up to a reasonable extent. It is a shortcoming in most of the engineering programes in Pakistan that the method of delivering knowledge to the students is not interactive and usually students are exposed to only bookish knowledge. As a result of which it becomes almost impossible for students to recall what they had studied in approximately 40 different courses in 4 years of their education programme.I am here by suggesting a few techniques that will definitely help you in enhancing your technical knowledge.

1) Get Organized:

Make a separate drive in your computer that is dedicated to the data that is related to your education. Make separate folders for each semester and within those folders organize the data related to different subjects in different folders.
The data can be of any form, slides of lectures, class presentations, class assignments, supporting files and videos that you encounter on internet related to your subject e.t.c.

2) Get Active and Participate:

Start participating in different technical events related to your field. Believe me even if it is just a small competition you will still learn a lot from it. And the most special thing about the learning imparted in this way is that you will never forget what you learn in this way from your own effort.

3) Develop Interest in Your Field:

Most of us i.e. Pakistani students get enrolled into engineering programs not because of our own interest in that particular program but due to the desire of our parents to make us an engineer or doctor, or merely because of the fact that our merit makes us eligible for being electrical, mechanical or civil engineer. But after getting enrolled in the program one should start directing his/her interest towards the program he/she is enrolled in.
